Morning All,

Just a quick post to say hello to youall & introduce myself  ;D

I`ve been sniffing around after a 69 Charger for a while but being in the UK they don't come up very often, are normally on ebay & the auction never runs to the end.
Have been advised that the best way of getting one, at the right money, is to import it myself so thats the plan.

My idea is to find the vehicle i am after, negotiate based on photos, then fly over to see it in the flesh, buy it & take it off for shipping.
I`m thinking that a cash transfer would have to be done whilst i am with the buyer as couldn't see the seller letting the car go before receipt of cleared funds & I wouldn`t want to send payment to a stranger  ??? :-\

Anyone had any experience of selling to a UK buyer before??
Would be grateful for any information.

good luck, I will tell you from experience, definetly see it in person or have someone you trust inspect the car before you pay anything.  There are many good mopar people who will help you out and some not so good that will stick it in your.... well you get the picture.  Good luck with the search.

Thx for the link, Am preferably after a General Lee replica TBH.

Have sent a reply to a member on the cars for sale page, fingers crossed he still has it eh

He is in Toronto by the look of things & the exchange rate means its affordable for me (have to keep the wife happy as already have a range rover, cosworth race car, Harley, R1 & speedboat)

Plus the cars over the pond are generally in better condition with owners able to get their hands on spares more easily

I just had a great conversation with Chargeryeehaa.

I hope we can do business here  :icon_smile_big: :icon_smile_big:
And I have a good pal who is only 15-20 mins from him with petrol head pals so will look at her for me.

Waiting for my other pal to get back with shipping details  :yesnod:

Dangerous..

Getting a car over there isn't really all the difficult, but it can add obviously to the overall cost of the project. Marcel, aka duo-stripe here on the board, just had a Duster we shipped to him in Holland.. He would probably be a good reference in that regard for shipping companies... But, sometimes it takes some effort on the selling party to get the car to a port of exit here in the States.. Myself and the seller towed the Duster to the port here in Houston and made sure everything was good to go in regards to shipment requirements....

If you PM me, I can forward you Marcel's contact information........

Cheers,
Troy

"Petrol head pals" now that's funny. :icon_smile_big:

If you are looking at 69chargeryeeha's 69, the orange one, then that's a pretty straight car.

I have never seen it in person, but have seen him here some and a ton over at moparts.  at the very very very least, I beleive you would be getting an honest asessment of his car.

You've obviously forgotten all about the paint roller thread. :slap:   :icon_smile_tongue:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
