"stop" sign or "slow" sign?!?!?

actually this is a true story....about one of the guys (a legend ) i work with.

a guy rolls thru a "stop" sign, my fellow officer pulls him over and says "you know you didn't stop at that stop sign???"
the guys replies..."well...i slowed down"
my fellow officer asks the driver ( i swear ) "well...if i were to pull out my nightstick....and start hitting you with it.....would you want me to STOP!!!....or SLOW down?!?!?!?!?!"
the driver replied...."sorry...point taken!!!!"
LOL....i almost pissed my pants when i heard him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
