Does anybody EVER check snopes before taking this shit at face value?

Just because its in your inbox doesn't make it true.  Andy Roney didn't write that.
I ain't got time for pain, the only pain I got time for is the pain i put on fools how don't know what time it is.

Not Carlin either.  If you knew anything about Carlin's politics (or Rooney's, for that matter) you'd see that that diatribe is 180 degrees out of whack.

I didn't mean that I thought it was Carlin, just that the style was like Carlin's delivery.

I agree with most of that too.

Your race is not something you should wear on your sleeve like an emotion, there's no need...It's just who you are- don't stick in others faces with your big fat mouth and don't be ashamed of it either.

I am a white guy.  I am not proud of it and not ashamed of it.  I am indifferent about it.   it's just who I am, not a thing me or anyone else can do about it.  but who would want to even if you could?

All of these people who walk around shouting racism are getting to me.   Who are these people?  certianly this group is not made up of any one race or color or whatever.  membership seems to have only one requirement.  Snivel and whine as much as possible about how bad it is here and how bad you have been treated and the cops are in on it and the conservatives are the devil bla bla bla.

and I really don't want to hear the "you don't know what it's like to be a ___________________________________(insert any group who does not consider themselves the majority) in this country "   You know what?  they don't know what it's like to walk a mile in my shoes either.

bottom line is we all have our own crosses to bear and other people really don't give a shit about your tale of woe, they have their own baggage to carry so keep it zipped.  Just because they get on the news does not make their problems any worse or sad than mine or yours.

I was at a technical class today brushing up on new material.  there were mostly white guys there with some spanish guys and a couple of black guys.  A miracle happened there today......Nobody gave a shit what color anyone else was.  The instructor instructed and the learners learned and nobody had to call a news conference.....most people don't care about different colors or whatever, it's just the few who do have the biggest mouths and hence their squeaky wheels get greased...

rant off///

As Chick Hicks said to Lightning McQueen, "That must have been real embarrassing, but I wouldn't worry about it, because I didn't do it."

Snopes has saved me on more than one occasion. Here's some fun stuff to look at:

Here's George Carlin's phony "Bad American" quote: http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/carlin.asp
Here's Robin Williams's phony "Peace Plan" quote: http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/williams.asp
But here's some verified (as well as very funny and entertaining) comments from Ted Nugent: http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/nugent.asp
