It was a beautiful Fall afternoon here in Northern Illinois.... sunny & in the forties... so my wife and I got the '68 Charger out for what is likely to be the last time this year.   Put Stabil in the tank and headed to the gas station.   As soon as we pulled up to the pump a young girl in her twenties came running to look it over.  She said her favorite year is '69, but she was wowed by our '68.   Couldn't take her eyes off of it until we left.   Off to the grocery store so my wife could do some shopping, while I stayed by the car.   Drew a lot more lookers walking and driving by.   Then we just went out cruising around town and in the outskirts, collecting stares everywhere we drove.   No doubt about it... life is good when cruising around in a classic old Mopar....Brian

We had a nice day here in Jersey yesterday and I did the same thing. Drove around and took my 8 year old to the park and for some ices. The kids in the park started to run after me to take a better look. Made me feel real nice.

Then I picked up the wife at her job, in a shopping center. More looks and thumbs up.

It's great. I will keep on taking it out so long as the weather holds up

It feels good doesnt it. I get people who wave at me, give me , or just strike up a conversation at stop lights all the time. I really enjoy it too.

Curtis, what about the Dakota, doesn't it stop traffic?  ;D

Nice isn't it!!! I had my 71 Bee out Saturday also for probably the last time this year. Took my wife and 18 year old daughter out and stopped at Burger King for lunch. Besides the thumbs up mentioned, at BK noticed quite a few people going out the wrong side of the restaraunt from where they were parked ,just for a closer look. Had a few people get right down on the ground looking underneath.... that kind of thing makes it worth all the work and TLC. My daughter gets quite a kick out of the car and all the attention it gets...not to mention she loves the car too.The old Mopars DO get the looks and appreciation when they drive around for sure!!

I must admit I always drive through the town centre in my cars on purpose just to show off, not many local people here in England have seen a Charger before just in films : )
