...but wrong one in my opinion!

"Challenger 1970-1974"

OK - for sure a cool car, but I though it had been established since long that Charger 68(-70) is the ultimate car!

:icon_smile_approve:

Tend to agree more with Discovery (Channels) global poll (done 2003?) where Charger 68 was ranked in second place - after McLaren....

That is basically a #1 rank....

Cannot say I donĀ“t like the Caddie, but for sure the Charger deserves a place in top-10.

As does the Mustang being that I feel generous today!

I think Daimler may have had some influence on that, The new Challenger comming out soon a retro look modeling the 70 Challenger ::)  If the Charger was set to be unvieled, and it looked like a Charger, I think it would have been the car on the list.

I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

First of all, that was Forbes, not Fortune.  Second of all, it was cult cars.  The ones that weren't popular when they were new and have extra appeal now.

Given that the Charger outsold the Challenger by many times over, it wouldn't make much sense to have the Charger in that list at all.

A few words can make all the difference in the world.  A bit ironic the 70 challenger came out to thrust Mopar into the pony wars with the Mustang and camaro, but was a little late to the party with oil shortages the demand for the muscle car was on the decline.  As other manufactures bailed on muscle and investigated economy.  In the mean time Chrysler stuck to their guns and almost lost the farm.
Fast foreward 2008 Daimler is pushing foreward the new fire breathing Challenger, rumered to only be available in HiPo form, to compete with what?  The Mustang and Camaro!  Oil prices are at a all time high, can you say dejavoo?  I hope so cause I cant spell it, but I think it's happening :icon_smile_cool:
