Bought this in 1987 for 3K. It was a factory top banana/ green gut Charger 500. 3 days after getting the motor done (1989), I celebrated by hitting a tree and telephone poll at around 90mph. I walked away, but the car didn't  :bawling:. Worst driving mistake I ever made.

Dude.....glad you walked away.....WHO on Gods green Earth bought that Pacer? That has GOT to be the single ugliest car ever produced. Please tell me you didn't have to drive that after kissing the pole at 90!

Anyway, my first car was a 66 Plymouth Fury III 4 door HT, 383 4bbl, auto w\a 8 3/4 limited slip rear. That car was first for a LOT of things! (spent just as much time in the back seat as the front one). Anyway, I used to suprise a lot of brand x cars with that one. I'll try to dig up a picture or two later.

PS... My Dad still ownes the car. One of these days I will have to get her running again.

My first car was a '68 Charger...383 four barrel, buckets, consolegold with a white(parchment?) interior. Car was 7 years old,and I bought it off a GM lot for the sum of 800 bucks. Ran 'er for about a year, and then traded 'er in on a '73 Datsun 240 Z......worst mistake I have ever made.....I still have nightmares about that.....sheesh...gettin' shivers just thinkin' about it.....

99% of the time I post that pic, all anyone wants to mention is the Pacer. ;)  It belonged to my neighbor across the street at the time. I'm not sure, but I think the windows didn't even roll down on that Pacer?

And for the record, no alcohol was involved in the wreck. It was just sheer stupidity on my part.

What I can't get over is how hard I had to work for my first car.  My son is only 4 years old and he already has his first car!  I tell you, it just isn't fair!  I think his daddy must be spoiling him  :icon_smile_blackeye:

Lost Sheep

first vehicle was a 1963 Chevy C-10 1/2 ton 2wd with a 350/4 speed and the wrong gear ratio and a 283 radiator so I couldnt drive faster than 55 without hurting the motor, or overheating. I got it for free from my dad. I then bought a more reliable car to drive around when I wanna go somewhere faster.......... a 77 Chevy Nova 4 Door......250 inline 6,1bbl,auto,Shit brown with bauge interior and I put a CD player in it....... paid 600 bux for the car with 45,000 on the clock from new. I still own them both and then bought my 68 Charger 383 2bbl,auto puke green black interior I had to piece the car back together and 7 months later i drove it to school. Later on I wanted a better truck so I bought a 70 Chevy C-10 350 auto for 100 bux and i have yet to start getting it running good and dependale yet being in college.

A 1970 Dodge Dart.... slant six, automatic, 4 doors, crunched left fender, for the princely sum of $225.00. Real grandma's special, but one that my Dad figured would sorta keep a 16 year old smartass out of trouble.....

Charger74

Bought my 73 SE from my neighbor two houses down.  He was from Kuwait but had bought the Charger here.  Orginal 318 car with a/c, vinyl roof, and broken speedo.  This was my junior year of high school.  Found out a few years later from a kid that we hung out/raced with that his family had owned it orginally.  His dad a local policeman.  Currently car is sitting in storage for the winter mainly due to just buying a house and getting married.  Hope to do some more tear down and chassis work on it this next spring summer.  Here is how is currently looks.

My first car was a 1972 Ford Pinto not by choice, so I drove it on a drive at your own risk road, hit a steep bridge at 80mph and never touched the other side, needless to say bent the frame and my girlfriend hit her head on the roof and dumped me shortly after. Cool thing is the car never blew up like they said they would..oops thats only if I was rearended. The short story..trashed it, junked it bought a mopar! lol :icon_smile_evil:
