I am a Cardinal fan, and I have to say I am surprised.  I would have bet money this series would be over in 5 or less games.  It may be but I would have picked the wrong team if it is over tonight.  The Redbirds have not put together 3 winning series in a row since the all star break.  The Tigers may still win it, but the Cardinals have impressed me.  Now If I could get a pair of tickets tonight for under $200 a piece.

Good luck with that on the tickets. The Cards are sure hanging in there Just be confident and maybe it will happen. They usually do there best when they are the underdogs.

This series has been incredibly boring.

I'm a huge baseball fan and I can't stay awake through most of it.

While I like the idea of Detroit winning it, Leyland is great and that city could use some good news since by this time of the year the Lions are usually eliminated from the playoffs, I can't root against the Cards either. The fans there were really nice even while we were kicking their asses in 2004.

Not a Cards fan, but theyre one of those teams you have no reason to hate so you just root for them. Besides, being a Dodgers fan, I have to root for the NL team.

I don't know if it just because I am a Cardinals fan, but I think it has been a verry good series.  Infact, last night my son wanted to go downtown and hang out at Al Hrabosky's or Hooters to be close to the action.  I told him I was way to tired and probably would be asleep by the 5th inning.  I was up until the last pitch, should have gone to hooters with my son  :icon_smile_evil:

I am a Braves fan, and I find it boring as well. ESPN said the ratings are so low for the Series, that it could be the least watched series of all time. So we are not the only ones. . .

Yeah, I'm a baseball fan too. I watched some of the first game only, & would flip to it to get the score on a couple of the others. I was hoping that the Tigers would be doing better, & surprised they aren't. If the Mets had beaten the Cards, I'd be more into watching the series so I can route against the Mets.  :D

:iagree:

I'm not a huge baseball fan, but I try to watch when I can (rarely) and usually make an effort to watch the post season.  Being from Chicago, I'm not a fan of either the Cards or the Tigers, but it has been a good series so far, IMO.  I mean, there were runners in scoring position almost every inning last night & there's been some good defense & decent pitching & plenty of hitting and stupid errors, what else do you want?  Just because they aren't your teams doesn't mean they aren't good games.  As for the low ratings, that's due more to the fact that these teams are from relatively low-population markets than it is to the quality of the games.  Besides, sporting events like this used to compete against 2 other channels showing reruns, now they compete against 200 other channels, (198 showing reruns) so it's only natural that the number of viewers would decrease.

That didn't just turn into a rant did it?  :shruggy:  I really don't care enough about baseball to rant about it.... oh well...

Go Bears.

With the Tiger pitchers "non-contributions" to their fielding defense, the series will go to the Cardinals. Five errors by the Tigers pitchers in five games...wow....

Thanks to all that have congratulated.  I can't believe we won.   Even being up 3-1 I did not think we would actually close the deal.  Go Cards!!!!

Only reason I was checking oftenly the series is because Tigers has 4 Venezuelans on team. On one of the gams ( I think 3rd one ) they were at the same time on field. 3 more were latin americans from other countries and only 2 from USA.

Tigers played like sh!t and deserved to lose!!  All the Card's had to do was hit it too the pitcher and the rest would be history!!   :P

Congrats, but I got to tell you I still hold a grudge for my Brewers from the 1981-1982 World Series The Cards came back from behind to win that one.
