Question about Block numbers

I'm a little confused on my block serial number. The number is 2536430-10. According to what I could find this should be a casting that was poured from 1966 to 1972. There is a set of numbers above it that read 11-15-77. The front pad has H440 and funny symbol beside it. Under the H440 is a 1, space, and a 3. The head casting number is 3462346. Any thoughts? I was told when I bought t that it was from a 1971 Chrysler.

You're misreading the casting date, the 77 is actually 71.

"H" is the year code for 1972, the 1 3 is the build date January 3, 1972. If the "funny symbol" is a diamond or Maltese cross it denotes over/undersized parts were installed.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Maltese is the word I could not remember. Thanks John
