Sometime (hopefully in the near future) I'm planning on doing some work on my '70 mainly consisting of lower gears, cam that works well with the gears I choose (and accompanying torque converter....yay :-\), and a better ignition system, distributer, and coil than the crap I have on there now.  After I complete my work I'd like to put the car on a dyno and get it tuned good (I've been having hell with my carb).  My question to you is what can I expect to pay for the dyno tuning.  My guess is that it would be by the hour but you guys would know better than me.

Here in the northeast expect around 125.00/hour. I paid a little over that including  4 runs, retiming, and changing the jets. Hope that helps.

Not a Hemi, a mini-hemi 340.

I payed $150/hr here in CA at R&D dyno services.....       but after three hours (and 22 runs) I was given a refund when the guy said "I cant tune this thing....    something is way wrong"               ended up being a worn throttle blade shaft allowing a vacumme leak...

Wow...  I guess it comes down to competition... I only know of one chassis dyno in my area (Little Rock, AR), and people (including me) gladly pay $250/hr...

I think there are at least a couple around here.....I met a guy that works at one of them 2 weeks ago but I was an idiot and didn't ask about it.  Maybe I'll see him this weekend.

I generally pay $100 / hr & can find 25 RWHP in an hour or so
