Hi guys,

           first time posting here...

I've got a 72 charger with the original crummy 318 and a 904 tranny. I'm going to be putting a crate 360 into it this winter, but I'm not sure about what else extra I will need. I guess my biggest issue is what all hardware I will need (hedder bolts, etc), where I will get it, and how it will mate up with my tranny (torque converter etc). I've compiled a list of everything I think I will need but would appreciate ya'lls input. The leaf springs and radiator are included because they are shot.

air filter
air filter pan
alternator
alternator bracket
belts
bondo
carburator
coil
coil mount
engine
engine mounts
exhaust tubing parts
fan
fan spacer
flywheel
fuel pump
hardware
hedders
hoses
oil
oil filter
oiling starter tool
paint
plug wires
primer
pully kit
radiator
radiator cap
radiator fluid
rear exhaust mount
rear leaf springs
sand
sand paper
spark plugs
starter motor
thermostat
thermstat housing
underhood insulation
wiper fluid bottle

Also, I assume I can just bolt up my current power steering to it?

thanks in advance

Joe

You will need to add balance weights to the torque converter or buy a balanced flex plate.  And you will need a harmonic balancer for a 360.

You will also need a center sump 360 oil pan and pickup.  And one of the motor mount brackets is different from the 318's

Other than that it's a real easy swap.

It's not a midlife crisis, it's my second adolescence.

power steering will bolt up , you only need a different left engine mount the right 318 one works
