This is cool, someone I work with brought in a truck magazine with a story on this old style truck. It's made brand new, & in steel. I'd love to see an old Power Wagon made, but this is still nice. The company is called "Southern Motor Co." out of South Carolina.

"The MSRP for the southern 358 is $55,000"   :o  Probably about right though for a truck like that.

That's damned funny! :icon_smile_big: I wonder why on earth they didn't go with a GM drivetrain?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I like this truck & don't care that it has a Ford Mustang engine in it.  :D

that's interesting,..
there sure are allot of these updated restorods commin out,..
like the foose chally and Boyd camaro...
i'd rather do my own, but that's me...
some of these execs are too busy playin golf on the weekends and would rather just write a check...
I guess that's ok but i'm personally not in that socio-economic demographic..

it would definitly cost allot more to do that combo yourself...

I've never been too big on that body style, I prefer the late 56 to 57 style...but for what it is, I like it too.
I just think it's funny that they went with a Ford drivetrain...usually everything out there gets a GM drivetrain without as much as a second thought. I wonder if there were copyright problems from GM on this & that's why they went this route?

Hey Grant, I didn't get to read the whole article, but the guy at work said the truck had some minor differences in body lines. (I'll have to ask him later.) As for the Ford drive train, I don't know why either, but maybe it was only a matter of preference on the builder. Not in my price range, but I'd rather drive that than the SSR.
