how much "later". Definitelly not 73/74.
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

Someone correct me if I'm wrong,  but I think any "B" body up until '70 will bolt up.   That being said...I do know that there are differences between a Hemi "K" member and a common "B"/"RB"  "K" member,  but I'm not sure about differences with a six cylinder though

The '66-'72 B body K-member will bolt into an early B but it sets the engine back 1 5/8" from the original position. This is an advantage for fan clearance, oil pan and header selection, etc. but it requires some fabrication and the floor tunnel will need some "massaging" for clearance. '68 and later have a better idler arm mount and '70 and later have a better sway bar mount.

Any '62-'65 V8 K-member will also mount the 440 with the correct mounts.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

John, does the 66 - 72 K-frame set the motor higher as well?  Many years ago I set up a 65' Coronet with elephant ears at the stock hight, but moved the engine back. I don't remember having to modify the tranny tunnel..  Then again I cannot tell you if I had lunch today!!   ;)
