I used Dependable Auto Shippers for my Charger and they were good, but pricey.  I've picked up another car that requires far less care or punctuality so I want to save some bucks on this one.  I found one quote of $599, which is pretty good.  THat was from AAA Discount.  Anyone else have a suggestion?  Driving it home isn't an option.

The cheapest shipper I could find was Trusty Transport(www.trustytransport.com). They were great. I put the order in for my cars on a Monday morning and by that afternoon they had contacted the guy who was storing them and the next morning they were on a truck to my place. For 2 cars from East Pennsylvania to Western Wisconsin was $1450,(around 1900 miles) which I figured out by the time I paid for gas, hotel, etc., and then took off work to get them, I couldn't do it any cheaper. You could try them.

Peg's Trucking is great (www.pegtrucking.com).

5 day service for my Imperial (picked up and delivered).

Price was $850.00 total from Chicago to Houston (uncovered).

Gandalph recommended a guy named Bob, who he'd used before, and Bob now works for Peg.

Definitely who I'm going to use from now on.

Hope this helps.

Whom ever you use, make sure you check the undercarriage and rails before you pay them. They sub out alot of the moves and you might get a nitwit doing the move like I did. I had a bad experience!  :flame:

Very good idea. I looked at a '70 GTX over the summer that had damage to all 4 frame rails because they hooked it in the wrong location. Very nice car with 90% of it's original sheet metal, new paint, & more, but it now needs frame rail work.  ::)  All 4 of them had tears in the steel & needed to be welded.

Trusty quoted $510...wow!  I thought 599 was a pretty good deal.

Being a Trucker, I will share this one tidbit with all of you......

Find out what kind of insurance they have & what kind of Coverage they provide for your ride. Getting the cheapest price isn't always the best deal. As a consumer, you can ask for a copy of their insurance ryder to check for yourself.
Be very careful about those "fly by night" or "mom & pop outfits".
