will torque thrust `d`s 15 x 10 with 295 50 15`s or 275 60 15`s tyres fit under the rear arches of a 68 charger without any modifying? or is it best to go for 15 x 8.5`s? the suspension is good with no sag if this helps
thanks for any advise

Sean,
This question has been posted/answered many times, try doing a simple search & you'll find lots of answers already posted.

But, since you've asked, YES, 295/50/15s will fit. I have them on my '68 with 15x10" wheels with a 5" offset. No rubbing problems for me.

Sean, that will never fit. The wheel comes out too far. For a 10 inch rim you need a backspace on 5 inches.
The Torq-Thrust D Wheels have 4.5 inches backspace on a 10 inch rim. That might be okay with 275 tires but not with 295.
I would suggest to buy the Classic Torq-Thrust II wheels. These are all offered with custom backspace. And as mentioned before
a 5 inch backspace is the best fit for a 10 inch rim (also if used with 275 tires -this gives you more security not to rub the tire on the
inner fender).

:iagree:

Sean,
Here are some shots of my car, with 15x10" Centerlines with a 5" backspace, with the 295/50's. They just fit, & I have no rubbing problems. Another 1-1/4" out & you WILL be hitting the 1/4 panel, no doubt. Please choose carefully. Once they are mounted & balanced, you own them. Mario has a good suggestion by going with the Torque Thrust II's, if you like them.
Good Luck!

thanks for the replys and pic`s, but it looks like i will have to stick with an 8" or 8.5" rim, i am not fussed on the torque thrust II`s though ,  i realy like the look from behind of bill440rt charger, would the look be the same with the 8 or 8.5" wheels and 295`s?
