Here is the other car I picked up a couple months ago.  Not too bad for $200.00?
What do you guys think?  It's a 1972 SE.  It has no drivetrain.

Blown70

You could pry get the 200 out of the rims..... Not a bad deal at all.

GOOD JOB

There wasn't much of an interior left.  There is no fender tag, build sheet, or title.  The car is very rusty.  But it did have the hideaways that caught my eye.

:2thumbs: good deal. Even a rusty car usually will have a grand worth of good parts on it. Just the front swaybar (standard on 72SE) and lower control arms with tabs are worth $175 since they are the same as an E body.   I finished cutting up my most recently acquired parts car yesterday..which was also a 72 SE. Unfortunately mine was missing the hideaway headlights.  Not much fun to do that in 98 degree weather. I`ve been working on a few things recently and hope to be bringing home another 72 or two in the near future. One is a definite keeper but I don`t want to talk about it too much until it finalizes. Now that i finally completed purging all my 73-74 parts......I have a little extra space for some new goodies.  :icon_smile_big:

I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

I asked Ghoul to part it out since it was beyond repair.  His first time with torches.  Kinda matched the flames on his arms.  He was so used to the sawzall.  Keep in mind, that this car was an excellent donor to many other cars.  Ghoul even scrounged some parts for his Charger. K member with front disc went on another car.   The firewall went to a the 72 rotisserie car.  The trunk pan went to the yellow 71 Superbee.  The wheels I kept because I love slots.  The trunklid was wasted.  I do have several other nice decklids.  The scrap went to the yard for $200.00.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I loved the stripe combo, it was sweet.

hope you remembered to take out the gas tank 1st. :smilielol: :smilielol:  my favorite parts cars are the ones already missing the drivetrain and gas tank. $200 is good for the scrap.  prices must be back up.

nope, that flame that you see coming off the fender was all the bondo burning off.
I guess you could have saved it if you had about 3 donner metal cars.
fire wall underside
vacuum booster area
floor boards
wheel wells
corners of trunk
air box plenum
outer rockers
door hinge area
were all rotted to the point where they were gone.
the only thing that the car had going for it was a solid passengers front frame rail, solid rear frame rails, clean trunk and window pinch welds, and solid inner rockers other than that total rot bucket. It could have been saved if it were a numbers rare option car but its better off getting killed for scrap metal for rare numbers cars. It just wouldn't make sense to save a car with nothing going for it trans/engine/body wise just because its a hide-away car.
