Hey Guys,

I know this is a charger forum..BUT...as my 69 Charger is SLOWLY getting restored, I have stumbled across an opprotunity to grab a 1968 sattelite (sport?) ragtop. Its actually in great shape and would think of doing the ol' GTX "clone" conversion and maybe flipping it? (at least thats what I'm telling the wife.......he he)

If I'm not mistaken the badging and a few minor mods should do the trick? I believe they were all based on the "belvedere" platform?
Don't have pics yet but I will post when I have them.. (monday?)

does anyone have any idea on the production nubmers for these, I'm told it was pretty low?

Opinions please

ps....the Charger resto is going great but slow, its turned into a "sinceya" project, "since ya did this ya hafta do that"
Its gone way beyond the "nice driver" ideas I had at the beginning, media blasting, all METAL bodywork, complete new interior, re-chrome everything, blah blah blah.

The engine is almost done and will be getting delivered next week.

buy it!  i'd love to have a ragtop b-body.  especially a 68~70.

grab it, but don't clone it. Belveders and Sport Sats are hard to find, and great cars all in their own.

'68 Satellite RH27............1,771 made!

'68 Sport Satellite RP27..........1,523 made!

'68 GTX RS27................1,026 made!

All low numbers!

Keep it as is...................I wouldn't clone it.

Just negotiating with the guy as we speak, If I get It I'll let you guys know....

Anyone have a clue what these things are worth - ballpark??

Good shape, very little rust, RR hood, white (originally B5 blue)  w/ blue interior. everything is there, needs minor interior work, new top, brake job but otherwise solid....

Also, those production numbers - were those for total produced or is that just ragtops?

Thanks again
