I was looking at the 69 Dodge parts manual and noticed that it does not show Charger Car Line (X) in the manual.  How do you use this to determine which parts/part numbers went on the charger.   Do you use the Coronet or the Dodge car line - or is there a seperate book out there for the charger?
thanks

It appears that most of the stuff listed is rather generic to many models. When that is the case, go with Dodge. When there are specific parts, it will clearly mention Charger. Example, 23-93 shows the exploded view of the Charger rear quarter assembly.

Most of the Charger components are from the Coronet line so you look at the W column. When there is a specific reference to the Charger, you'll see indications for "XS" or "XP" or "W except Charger" or something similar in the left hand column. This helps indicate a Charger only part.

This is not to stir the pot but from a manufactoring point of view, the Charger was a derivitive of the Coronet from 66-70 and 'consolidated' with the new body style Coronet in 71, hence the the W traditional Coronet designation.
Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.

Thanks.  I had always heard that it was a derivative of the coronet body style - hence the reason alot parts are interchangeable except for of course you distinctive body parts.   Wish they still made cars that did not look like every other car
