727 driveshaft

i swapped my 318 for a 383 and need a different driveshaft/yoke to get it finished up.--i'm in a remote area and was wondering would a driveshaft from a mid 70's Cordoba with a 400 work? ---  I had my doubts, but a friend of mine put one in his 73, and he claimed it bolted up perfectly.
-also, will the joints to a 8 1/4 rear and a 8 3/4 rear the same?

--and if the driveshaft length isn't going to work, can a guy just swap the tranmission yoke ends?

(my car is a 73 btw)

The Cordoba unit MAY work if it was a big block car or had had a 727 behind a 360. It is a B-body just like the 73-74 Charger.  904 and 727's take different yokes, as you know.

As far as the rear yoke 8-1/4 to 8-3/4, it will depend on if the 8-3/4 you are installing has the large or small yoke. All 8-1/4's to my knowledge came with the small yoke. 8-3/4's came with either the small or large yokes. You'' have to mathc whatever driveshaft you have to whatever rear you have installed.

Take a tape and measure them.

I just bought a 77 cordoba with a 400 in it for my 73 Road Runner.  Used the cordoba driveshaft, went in perfect.  Had to get a combination u joint, I think the number was precision 327 or 347.  Used the crossmember as well.
