Ok I can't find here a gas Cap that fits good on my car... I lost mine on a gas station ( forgot to fit before leave )

can someone give me a brand that works ? and the Number...

I have found GSN, but no one fits good.... EG 91A is is big, and EG 92A fits but too much play and loose easily.

I have found another ones, but don't remember the brands.

I did some looking around on a site called rockauto.com and found the following
Stant part #10807 -Regular Fuel cap
Stant part #10571 -Regular locking  Fuel cap
Gates part #31722 Regular Fuel cap - 2 3/8" emission control
Gates part #31670 Regular locking Fuel Cap 2 5/8" Emission control

Now I've never dealt with these guys so I don't know how reliable that is but depending how your local parts store is maybe they'll let you try one of the parts given that you have a part number?   :shruggy:
1968 Charger -currently spread all over my garage!

ok, the deal is TRY TO FOUND THOSE PARTS DOWN HERE... I know Stant is a brand that does exist here, but only have seen radiator caps, don't know about gas caps.

I have seen also Standart and another Asian Brands... KOISUKO or something like that.

Thanks for that help...

still opened to another options

Do you have a pic of the style your car needs? I have a really nice mid 70's Mopar gas cap that I will never use down at my garage. I took it off a Monoaco.

Nacho-RT74

OK Mike... DO YOU KNOW WHERE I LIVE ? lol... I LIVE IN SOUTHAMERICA shipping cost is high LOL...

JIM If the cap is from  B body Monaco, I think is the same, since the B body Monaco ( 77/78 ) is practically the same 75/76 Coronet and filler tube is behind the license plate.

When I lost this last gas cap I knew it will be a headache since aftermarket ones ( specially asian ones available here ) never fit. The one I had was a mixed gas cap from an OLD one I found where I did take the latch with a new chrome and cilinder assembly I bought.

The problem is the latch area is smaller ( or bigger ) than the tube, and guides are also smaller. So with just ride the car and vibrations loose easily.

Is the second time I lost the cap. First one was an aftermarket one but weird did fit perfect... don't remember the brand, after that did make the mixed caps.

I'l keep searching down here first... heard another brand options.

Yes I know where you live.  Doesn't matter, if it helps you out, then it's worth every penny.

If Jim has the right cap then I'll get it from him and mail it to you in about a week or so.  I'll see Jim on the 16th.

Need a name and address if that's the way you want to go.

OK guys... I'll keep you updated.

Jim... please take a pic if you can when you find... I'm old fashion and preffer the perfect old looks than the new aftermarket look.

I love the look of the aftermarket I find here, just plain curved chromed, and exactly same diameter than the tube, shame latch doesn't fit.
