Does anyone know if they are exactly the same? They look like it. If not, What makes it different? Cause I have the chance to buy one that was bought new last year, never mounted, but the guy who has it decided not to use it on his '68 Couger now, said I could have it for a $100.

Check the sweep of the ends. If I remember rifgt one points toward the front of the car and the other points towards the back. Can't remember for sure but I think the 70s are toward the front and 71 up are towards the rear. Come on guys help an old fart out on this one. I know there is a differance. I've got CRSS (can't remember shit sendrom) going right now.

Never have seen Mustang stuff to give an opinion.

This is a 69 that I saw last week, I kept eyeing that spoiler for some reason too.   ???

* I need measurments of the distance from the mounting bolts or the pedistals on a go-wing. I need to see if the distance is the same as a Ford wing.
* I also need the lenth (tip to tip), and width measurments.

If they are the same, I'm going to buy the guy's spoiler.

Im not sure since I dont have a spoiler yet but you could measure the trunk lid on your car to get the pedestal measurements.  Im pretty sure its the same distance on a Go wing as a Gull wing because people have used the 70 spolier on 3rd gens before...

I got my answer. So any one wants to know, I thought this is interesting...

"Factory '70 Mustang and factory '70 Mopar spoilers are the same except for the part numbers in the cast aluminum "feet". I believe the originals were made by the same automotive supplier. Aftermarket reproductins vary in quality and cost from ~$100 to ~$300. Correct spacing between pedestals is 36"."

"the pedistals are taller on a mopar wing, about 5/8 -3/4 shorter"

"I agree, the uprights are not the same, but the wing portion is. And it's not just Mustangs. The same wing was used on Cyclone Spoilers also. Probably Torinos and Cougars too, but that's just a guess."

And Yes, I'm going to buy the spoiler now. Eventually, I'll just get the correct Mopar uprights. :yesnod:

better measure the pedastal spacing before you buy it.  Fords are typically 34.5" and mopar are 36" (or something like that).  If you install a ford wing you won't be able to use the under-decklid bracing as it was intended.  Let us know...
