What happen to Cuda Ken? By Cuda Ken

What happened to Cuda Ken?? I am not sure, but at this point his body is getting stiff. Guess 3 things did me in.

1 No job for 6 months, that will beat most people down.

2 $12,000.00 440 Last a whole 85 miles.

3 Something about a American Motors car. I wont go into details but mainly my fault.

As most old timer know, the Cuda is gone, the Charger head ach is gone and Super Charger is gone. All that is left is Miss Lumpy.(68 Road Runner) I wanted to sell it but wife and daughter got on my Daina. 440 Long Block as been at shop for 4 months and I have not called to see what is up with it. (being fixed for free yet)

On the bright side, doing well at work. Rookie of the month, salesman of the month, made asst Manger and store of the month and that is with in 3 months.

I hope sort of hope to get the Mopar Fire back like I preached so many times. But at the same time, I hope it does not. Smell of primer, sanding your a-s off, Dextron in your hair, paint on my finguers, grease under the finguer nails and a sicking sound after $12,000.00.

Allen (41 Husk) I cannot tell you how many times I started to call you, but either to late (get home at 9:45 PM) or something comes up and I forget to call or I do not hear the phone. Call me at 618- 463-0767 and I hope you can re kindle the fire. Did you pick up the other Charger yet?

Any one eles use my E-mail and make the subject upper cased DAYTONA. My E-mail is still cudaken3834@aol.com

Guess the maing reason I don't come to the site is because it reminds me of what I was, not the current beat down old man I feel like car wise.

I still like working with my hands. Went the way of HO trains, and getting in to them big time. Running a Athearn (maker) FP-45 made in 1970 (Santa Fe War Bonnet) and itt would not move when I bought it for $10.00.  Hauling Chevy at 65% thottle up a 3% grade with 15 freight cars. Not baad for what was called junk. Humm, I stilll seem to like junk?

Petera, used the E-mail address so I can get your rear end out of the Club House.

Sort of Cuda Ken, well maybe again.
I am back

Miss you Ken! You are a good Man.. Don't be a stranger brother.

Sounds like you are doing great at your new job. Congrats!

I can relate to getting beat down by the Charger and the 440. Sometimes it is just too much. Too much money, too much time, too much energy. I don't hold anything against you for taking a much needed break from the hobby. I am glad your wife and daughter stopped you from selling the Runner. That car has family history. Heck, it is family. If you get the fire back, get the Runner going and cruise in that. Just don't take corners fast. Somebody told me the bench seat is kinda slippery. :icon_smile_big:

Glad to hear you are doing well and have found another hobby you enjoy.

Ken,

You may not remember me from D-C days but you were instrumental in helping me through some tough spots on my charger.

I too am going through some tough times and am probably going to sell my '69 soon to get me through it.

The fire will return I am sure, Mother Mopar will remind you of your passion and after this greiving period we will be happy to aid you in another restoration.

Ken,

As I said in my PM to you, great to hear few words from you. You are great person, helped me a lot to find 8.75 rear end and with few great advices. Even we are on two different parts of the world, it amazes me how friendly you and other members are.

I think that most of us located overseas can't thank enough to you and others from this forum. Maybe one day I will be able to return favor.

Take care,

Hang on to it.

Without getting to personal, is there a reason you are not doing bodywork any more?

If it was addressed in another thread I missed it.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Hey, Cuda Ken, I do not know you but after reading your post, I sure feel like I do now. I hope things get better for you & you continue to do well at your job. I understand the frustration of never seeming to get out of that eternal pit that seems to call in all of your money & time. I feel for you. I am glad the females talked you out of selling the Roadrunnner you have. I want to sell so many times but after having my cars for eighteen years they still tell me to keep them in the family. I worked two jobs when I first got my Charger just to put the motor together. It does seem to take all of your time & money to continue to upkeep them. Hope things will look up & just reading this post, it sounds like a lot of folks are with you & wishing you well. That has to be good!!! :yesnod:
