I just stripped the paint off a big block 1972 air cleaner lid. The material inside the lid rim seems to be cork. Is there replacement material that someone makes fo this? Thanks.

You know....that's a good question.....let me look through my YEAR ONE catalog  and see if I can locate that.

I'm not too sure if this is the part, but it is listed as "Air Cleaner Gaskets"    The part number says CJ1020.   They do not shop a photo of it in the catalog.   I imagine  that if this was the base-to-carb gasket, it would say throat gasket.  I think those corks are glued in too.   Hope this part number helps.

Hi Tyler:

I looked up that part too. Looked like a carburetor gasket. Will have to call them tomorrow. Thanks for the help. That wouldn't be Tyler, Texas, would it?
