I've read from guys that did the heat and scrape method but I hade no interest in trying that. The needle scaler is loud and dusty but quite effective.
I have a thing with fire though. I don't like it. I wouldn't call it a phobia, I'm just not too comfortable with fires.

There are several things I don't like about scraping...
1. the heat on the sheetmetal
2. dropping molten hot pieces of melted undercoating on your neck/face or down your sleeve.
3. how slow it goes

A propane torch shouldn't be harmful to the metal if you're not getting the metal much warmer than you can stand to touch by hand.
I just don't like fire.   
I'd rather use the scaler. I keep the angle low to scrape rather than to dent!

The engine bay has been painted and I'm so glad I bit the bullet and had it done. The "survivor" engine bay left alot to be desired.

My paint guy touched up where the undercoating was disturbed for the transmission crossmember, 4 link, and subframe connectors.

The outside of the inner fenders also received raptor liner.

Thanks all! I've been tackling several projects at once but am making some progress on the burgundy Charger.
For a side gig, I part out wrecked SRT8's, Scat Packs, and a few hellcats....so I pulled this 6.4L hemi out of a wrecked 1970 Challenger (of all things!) and the 8HP70 8 speed automatic transmission from a wrecked 2016 Challenger Scat Pack I parted out. The 6.4L only had about 1,000 miles on it...the 8 speed auto has aabout 50K miles on it.

That raptor liner looks really nice and uniform. I wish I would've used that. I had lizard skin sprayed on mine and I regret it. There are multiple places where it is peeling and flaking off the bottom of the car. I'm not sure if the guy that sprayed it for me did something wrong or if it's just a bad product. It has good reviews online but I'm not impressed at all. I need to strip it all off and do something different.

What sealer do you have on the concrete floor there? And does it hold up to fluids? I'm pouring a new floor after winter.

I thought of something and take this in a friendly way: Did you ever consider using better condition interior door panels (still some originals from 68) instead of the actual originals?  They are so bad.
