was thinking the same , cant see it being a sales bank car , must of been ordered by someone for one reason or another , or it was a dealer show room promo type deal showing  how little it costs to get into the All new 69 charger etc , having said that to be a promo type car maybe a last week in august  first week in september 68 SPD is a little late

Well the auction ends today and its up to $23,800 so somebody out there is just as insane. Of course winning and auction and actually paying for it is a whole other thing. Curious if the winner will make good. Either way the prices of 68-70 Chargers is craziness right now.

back up forsale  ! wonder if the broad cast sheet is still in there .....  shame rare charger forsure ,rare dont always mean desirable or worth the asking price !!  to some / most    its      ! but to others prolly bit like arnie in christine what ever it is ! its not enough    , would like to see it restored back to factory OEM, .

I can see why the winner didn't pay. They said "what am I nuts paying 23 grand for that!!!" Nothing worse than a deadbeat Ebay bidder but unfortunately it's part of the deal when you sell on there. Lot's of jerks. It be nice to see that car restored but I can't see the seller getting what he's asking for. Of course anything possible.

Hey, it's just supply & demand.  Do you have a better deal on a Charger body?  Today?  In a public sale?


Cost of restoring it?  Meh.  It takes extenuating circumstances to restore a car and NOT lose money on it.  If project cars were priced according to resto costs then most of the sellers would have to pay the buyers.

Didn't think it would. I get supply and demand and also get that 99% of any restoration you'll lose money but that car is a mess. They should be happy to take 20 grand.
