What's the best turn signal switch?

I have tried two of the repros and they suck. The first one doesn't work, and the second doesn't cancel. NOS is very pricey when you find them. Were the same switches used on other models?

That's where I got my last one. They were supposed to be better. I did make the turn signals work again, but no canceling, which is really strange.

I had the same non cancelling issue. When it was taken apart, the piece on the steering wheel which operated the cancel feature was work down and no longer makes contact with the switch. My choices were;1. try and affix a new piece to the wheels to make contact with the switch. 2. Get a new steering wheel. 3. Cancel by hand. Having other needs for my cash, I took door #3.

I replaced mine 30 years ago from a dealer NOS.

Hmmm I'll have to check the wheel. Currently on option #3 myself.

What about replace the canceling cam? They are available alone.

What it was the problem on your original one?

Something that also a Cancelling cam replacement service could do?

The switch I had, and the first replacement, didn't make good contact and turn signals didn't work all the time. The first one actually lit up one of the brake lights.
This last one functions as it should, but doesn't cancel and just doesn't work smoothly. A replacement cam may actually work. I'll give it a shot. Thanks Nacho!

Van's is good but find them on eBay for free shipping.  :2thumbs:

Both failures points out than the cancelling cam service could be the solution, since it carries also the contacts.
