The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

That guy needs to add a Pilots licence note to his racing licence or he will be in trouble with the race organisers :scratchchin:

I'll bet the driver's lower spine didn't enjoy the touchdown very much.
Those purpose-built road racers don't exactly have a lot of ground clearance & suspension travel.

The guys on that autoblog that say the aerodynamics are no good really have no idea how it works. ::)
The bottom of these cars is designed to provide downforce on it's own so it sticks to the road by a sort of vacume but when it loses that there is very little chance of correcting it. Once it is airborne is will fly well.

Nice and level flight so his form was good and the distance was excellent but not much height. And he pretty much nailed the landing. I give him a 9.2 out of 10.

:iagree: Plus, usually the whole aerodynamic thing is concentrated on in mind of the car being in forward motion, not flying sideways. I'm thinking once the car is airborne sideways, aerodynamics is prety much out the window & you're now running on inertia & luck. If someone tried to get it airborne at some other point on the track, I'm betting the outcome wouldn't be duplicated.

True but I think they were blaming the aerodynamics for the car going airborne. While only the driver can be blamed for this one. Nothing wrong with the aerodynamics.
