Hi,

I have finally decided to address my AC issue (its tilted inward, which causes the condensate to leak into the car), and while I'm at it, I would like to replace my front speaker (its shot). I took out my gauge cluster for this project, and still need to figure out how to take out the radio. However, I've looked at the speaker, and I don't understand how its mounted/how to unmount it. It seems like its screwed in from the top, but when i look above the dash, there are no screws... so i assume dash is two parts? any tricks to get it out? if not, how do I take the top of the dash off? if i can cut the screws, could i screw in the new speaker from the bottom/mount it somehow?

The speaker itself is mounted to a metal bracket. That metal bracket is mounted to the dash. So look at the bracket (usually black) and find the mounting hardware holding it to the dash.
