It was a wonderful day for the most part.  A decent turnout of Chargers and DC.com members.     You will probably find opinions to the contrary over at moparts - some people just gotta rag on everything.

Meanwhile take my advice and pack a spare coil...   I wish I did  :icon_smile_blackeye: .  I'm very thankful to 6T9 Chris as he fixed me up with his spare!

I don't have a spare. Might have to pick one up at the swap meet. Speaking about the swap meet, how was it?

BrianShaughnessy

I've seen the swap meet bigger before... then again I've seen it pathetically smaller too.    I didn't buy a thing except a $10.75 cheeseburger, fries, pepsi.

Talked to the gunslinger guy about when the rest of the 69 grille trim pieces will be ready (a few months  :'( ).

So close yet so far.   ::)

Today I set things up for my daughter's birthday party tomorrow, & also went to my next door neighbor's house for his wife's 40th party today. Wish I knew why all these people have to schedule crap on the same weekend as a Mopar show.   :shruggy:

Some folks can't prioritize.  :D

I wanted to go this weekend, but I'm not going to have the time to.  I'm going to make time to go to Carlisle in July.

I just got back myself...spent the weekend over my parents house with my kids.
Saturday the weather was ok for the most part...... a few sprinkles

Sunday started out ok but ended with me driving my Charger home in the downpour of course....again :rotz:

Glad you made it home OK Brian and it was my pleasure to help out.

Got to meet a few (new to me) members as well....TX9 Charger & 69 Our/Tea.  69 (Paul) was literally making my head spin as he was "schooling" us on painting technique's & tips.   guy really knew his stuff!

Overall the car show on both days was a bit smaller with a few empty spots.  As usual the weather keeps some away.    There were still a large amount of real quality cars.......even had a Hemi Cuda & Challenger that had their own tent AND an armed guard!......on rotating shifts!!
Sadly, I left my armed guard home this weekend along with my sunscreen & umbrella :rotz:

Pics are in the camera in the trunk of my dirty Charger.....I have no desire to go to the garage & get it now....maybe tomorrow

I can't thank you enuf Chris!    But I can post of pic of you !  ;D    I didnt' take many pics... hope you did.

I took more on the road than I did at the show I think.

1.  I kinda blew by this guy and he caught up with me at the show and asked about the Keisler.   He took a pic of me when I was going by but I had already put the camera away.
2,  Burnt70 Chris' Hang 10.
3.  Wallyworld meet.
4.  6T9 Chris in his natural element.

Made it back from the show. Not too bad in the rain. Left during the awards as the rain was starting. My son  was convinced that all the polishing he did on the wheels and bumpers is what won the trophy for 71 and up lightly modified. He doesn't seem to get what winning by default means. No other cars in the class. Guess now that it's a "trophy winner" I can tack on another 10 grand if I was to ebay it. Ha! Ha!

Didn't meet any other members there today. Spent some time in the swap meet area. Thought that attendance was way down. I think that this is a dying show. Only a few more weeks to Carlisle.....

That's pretty cool!   :icon_smile_cool:

This is most of what all I got.

1.  Charger row.
2.  loser.
3.  the nastiest sounding car in the show...   :icon_smile_tongue:

Chris G.

Had a great time riding down with you Brian. That Charger sits low and mean. I do think the Twiz-Tastic may have taken you though with the mighty 318 2bbl.  :icon_smile_wink:

Great pics guys. I didn't take much. As a matter of fact I didn't get any of your rides. :-[ If you have bigger pics Brian, please send them to me. It was a nice show both days. I don't care what the whiny complainers on another site have to say. They are the same hee-haws that show up without a car, but complain that the show field is small. I'm glad you guys go for the show, and not sit and worry about weather or whatever these wanna be show princesses use as an excuse.

Nope. Oh sorry, that was one of those retorical questions wasn't it? :D

The twiz-tastic made it the whole way under it's own power... that's more than I can say...    I had a good 50 feet or more of flintstone power on the odometer by the registration tent  :icon_smile_blackeye:

Next time I'm A.)  PRE-REGISTERING and B.)  doing some donuts in the wallyworld parking lot  :icon_smile_cool:

Oh well...  it sure beats sitting home pissing and moaning how lousy the show is!   ::)

I had a great time at the show and was even suprised I got a trophy on Sat.  It was really good talking to a bunch of people that I have chatted with on here also.  Really good to put a face to the name.  Came home on Sun with a really good deal on a 053 radiator that was dent free!  Now only to get it recored!  Plus I also found a couple of small clips, bolts, etc that I was missing on my car as well.

The vendor area was bigger than last year I thought but still had a bunch of room to expand I think.

The show area seemed to have a lot of empty spaces although the new cars (magnums, neons, and dare I say it.... new Charger) had a ton of them in their area.  I guess it is good in a way that people are still keeping the car hobby going in a sense.  Hopefully by next year I will be in the totally stock class and the people at the gate can give me a difinitive answer on what is stock and what is not so I know what to register for in either stock or light modified.

Also found out that Galen was suprised that my car came through with zero wire harness retainers that got mounted onto the firewall.  Galen was also suprised to find out that there were two versions of the 69-70 tail light panel covers.  ( narrow vs. deep)  Currently, only the narrow ones are being repro'd by RMC components.

Hope to see everyone at Carlisle.
