How was the vacuum cruise control mounted on the steering column?  When I bought mine it had some aftermarket one attached to the blinker and the vacuum pulled from the power booster hose. So seeing that has a 69 option got me curious.

I did a double take on the subject (mild dyslexia I think) and thought "that can't be right" in between first and second look.

Thanks for posting.  Interesting and fun stuff.
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

he doesn't say it mounts the vacuum system into the steering column, but jus says operated by vacuum what is what pulls out the throtle. However is still controlled electrically from the control switch on turning switch lever

1969 and earlier B body cruise systems have a vacuum switch mounted the brake pedal , thus making a vacuum disconnect to release the cruise . Parts for these are near impossible to find

1970 and later its an electrical switch at the brake pedal linkage  to interrupt current

At first I thought this was about a 69 Porno Film. Read it wrong. That's how Chrysler got the name for some of it's Colors. Curious Yellow was from a 69 Porno Film. LEON.
