1968 Charger
Holley Street Dominator Inlet Manifold.

The 2 ports with plugs in them, in the center of the picture.
Are they Vacuum ports?
Are they both available to install a vacuum tree, to feed the power break Booster, and other functions?
Thank You
John

Those are for the EGR valve.  While I don't see why you couldn't use em for a vacuum tree, I'd feel better using ports higher on the manifold or on the back of the carb.  Although it looks like the upper hole might interfere with your fuel line

The tee running on #8 intake runner

Thank You Both.
It's funny that the piece of blue tape is covering the port in the #8 runner.
It fell off the carb inlet, that it had covered.
I am looking into reversing the dual feed carb inlets to provide clearance above the vacuum port.
Thanks again.

Something to consider if you use the port on the runner.  Hooking up things to it may cause that cylinder to run lean because of the extra air sucked in.  I certainly would not hook up an EGR hose to it as is would be a constant source of air to just that runner.  Using it for Vacuum booster or headlight doors would probably be OK as they only need vacuum when operating.

Others may want to comment.  Am I full of it?  Is this something not worth worrying about?

I hooked up my EGR to the base of the carb, the booster to the intake runner.

My vacuum Tee only feeds:
1. Doors in the AC/Heater Box.
2. Vacuum Can for Headlight doors.
3. Brake Booster.

Is EGR Exhaust Gas Recirculate?  Is that associated with a pcv valve?
Not sure about it at all.

EGR and PCV are two diff stuff.

PCV is related with internal engine vapors and cranking pressure, while EGR is related to exhaust.

some carbs get vacuum port to plug the brake booster too... I.E. The carter BBD on 318s, being a big tee on base to provide manifold vacuum.

stock manifolds are sourced from #7 runner! Or is #5 ? can't recall... eddelbrock performer intake is changed vs the stock on this, but is from one runner anyway on both.

Yes, I didn't speak correctly, should say PCV not EGR.

If you use the #7 port, it may only be slightly, intermittently lean - the vacuum systems don't flow constantly if everything is working normally.   And the relative volume is low vs what the port is flowing.
Mopar forever!
