...as a side note, but relevant to engine cooling, how about a fan clutch & clutch fan combo - anyone use them? If so, pros / cons? For those folks who may use them, standard or heavy duty fan clutch do you use?

With these cars we are a little limited for room in regard to distance to radiator. The Hayden 2747 will work in most cases but if you are compromised for room the 2947 clutch is 5/8" shorter @ 2.7" but still the same clutch. Fan placement in the shroud is also a factor.
Just use a fan which suits your application - probably in the order of an 18" 6 blade standard rotation.

Yeah, I was thinking about this combo for my 69' Charger's 383 BB as an alternative to the electric fan route (I have a 3 core aluminum radiator from Champion Cooling):
