I see what looks like broken mounts but I don't know if this is designed this way or not. First pic in passenger side. Driver side looks the same but harder to see in pic. Pics may be upside down.

My '74 had one top ear broken off so I didn't worry about it.  As I recall the mount was secure.  Having the bottom part broken off on both sides might be an issue...  Hopefully someone more in the know will chime in soon.

Yeap, block is broken at engine mounts provisions. Not a big problem on daily driver, but it seems you want to get some good juice from the engine judging by some of your posts ( big tires and so ), sooooo, time to fix it when removing engine to rebuilt/upgrade

Hate to say it but I'm leaning toward just dropping in a crate motor eventually. Nobody really cares if a 73 is numbers matching or not. And I don't plan on selling the car.

My 73 400 is broken in the same place like yours. The people I hire to do the machine work on the block claim they can repair that, we'll see. He did say that it should be OK not being repaired. On the numbers matching, kinda agree that not to many people care if you have the matching engine with your car on 73/74  B bodies. I wish I had the original engine to my car, but I was able to find the correct year and cid, so that's  the  engine going in my car.

In the meantime I'd suggest installing a torque strap on the drivers side, otherwise it could let loose and possibly do a little damage. I would not have any faith in a repaired block ear holding up to any significant torture.
