I suppose I may get a reprimand for this post, but hoping to save my 77 year old dad some labor.  He's been told that the "relay" with the bi-metal strip for the turn signal in a 1970 GTX is in the steering column - AND he's also been told (by someone else) it's behind the dash.  Naturally, they're not both right, so he's trying to know for sure so he can avoid doing unnecessary work.  I figured one of you might know.  Thanks in advance if you happen to know this odd bit of mopar trivia.

Relay ? Bi metal strip?

The turn signal flasher is to the left or right of the steering column on the back side of the dash ( sorry, cant remember which side )

Yes....two flasher relays.....one for turn signals & one for 4 way flasher. They are located either side of the steering column under dash. If he needs a new
turn signal switch that is mounted under the ignition switch housing.
