Silly question, where do you guys mount iphone/cell phone in your 2nd gen Chargers?    Glass / Dash mount?  12V Mount?  Suction cup?  Got pics?   if so, post.

My old cars, and motorcycle are two places I enjoy no cell phone use. It stays in my pocket. No distractions.

Agree.  Sometimes I like to use the GPS on the iphone or be able to take the odd phone call when meeting up with friends.

For GPS, I use a dedicated Garmin w  2" suction mount to front glass, lower left.

I've had the top plate off the shifter section of the console for years.  That gap on either side of the transmission tunnel is insanely deep.  Bottle of water, phone, etc...it all fits nicely.

If you are wanting a semi-permanent mount, I would try off the bottom of the dash, or the top of the console plate.

Agreed....

If its for gps use, putting it down by the shifter or bottom of dash is another "just looked down for a moment" hazard.  :Twocents:

yep agreed, as soon as i get in the charger, my phone goes straight into the glovebox. Various reasons, i am out enjoying myself driving and its MY time no need for the phone. Secondly, i am not risking getting distracted and crashing/damaging my charger, No chance in hell!. Ive had a few pissed off nights from the missus when ive been out driving and not answered her calls. Dont care, plenty of other times, just not when im in the charger!
;D

I don't take the "Tracking" device at all when I drive my 2nd Gen, that's part of the enjoyment spending a few hours where nobody can bother me LOL !
Only wimps wear Bowties !

Ive done 2 chargers with I phone plugins and auxiliary microphones. That way the phone lays in the console .

I'm in process of buying a car and its a radio delete and will stay that way. But same deal , phone stays in my pocket or in the console

I get in a grove and want to just listen to the car when out driving

Usually it falls between the console and the passenger seat or it falls off the back of the front seat onto the passenger rear floormat.   :brickwall:

Mount your cell phone???? Is it 1998? Why does it need to be out of your pocket at all?.... as soon as the stereo turns on it automatically links to the stereo and mirrors the contents on the screen via self connecting Bluetooth. OK that's in my DD but my 69 will have the same....but it will look rather more retro to be in-keeping with the cars age. In the UK its not legal to touch your phone with the engine running anyway...so no point having it on a mount even if you don't have a Bluetooth stereo.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you !!

That law here too (Ontario, Canada) but it doesn't seem to deter a lot of people.
