1968 Dodge Charger, Black 383 car about 1977 ish, traded my 10 speed bike that I built out of junk for it. I was 13 or 14, my memory is bad.

1968 Coronet 500. Black with red interior. Factory 383 4 spd. Traded a Yamaha 1975 YZ 400 for it in 1976. Unfortunately it is long gone.

I was flying Gliders in Jr. High, moving on to powered flight in High School while all my friends were playing little league so at the time I had little interest in cars.  My parents almost forced me to get my driver's license....(They might have latter regretted that move! LOL)  they kept telling me to buy a little 4 or 6 cyl. Car....but after seeing the Barris "Thunder Charger" in Thunder Alley....I just had to have a '66 Charger.  So I found the magical $500.00 car and took it home with dreams of making my own "Thunder Charger".  Fortunately,  I stopped after adding mags, wide tires (air shocks), T/A Challenger hood scoop, flares, new paint, and Zebra looking fur on the head liner (Yes, I did...and it didn't look that bad with the Dodge black and white interior).  Not long after completing it, I Traded it on a 1969 Charger RT/SE mildly customized by Barris with a half vinyl top and custom paint....in bright orange...long before the Duke Boys came along with the General Lee.  Since then, I have owned five '66 Chargers, one each '68 Charger RT, '69 RT Charger, '70 Charger RT, two '70 Challenger RT/SEs, a Hemi Superbird, '65 Coronet.  And to many others to list.....yes, I guess I can be considered a Mopar guy from the beginning....

My first car (about 1974-75 IIRC) was a 67 Pontiac Grand Prix, 400 4bbl TH400, 3:70 12 bolt rear,  factory Kelsey Hays 8 lug aluminum/steel rims, white hardtop, white leather interior, power everything, hidden headlights, had that cool factory clear plastic steering wheel, console auto, nice car until I sold it to my bother...he destroyed it, I then bought my Challenger, then my Cuda, then my other Cuda, then a Charger, yada, yada, yada we all know the drill, mopar after mopar after mopar....

1976 Ford Escort Mk 2. Was my grandfather's first (from new), then my father's then I got it when I passed my test when I was 18 in 1985! Venetian red, 4 speed manual box, four door, black cloth interior. I learned how to rear wheel steer in that car (it was a rear wheel drive saloon (sedan!)  when most of my friends had front wheel drive hatchbacks!)...but I could only do it in the wet as the mighty 1.3 four pot only kicked out 55 horses...not enough to get it to slide in the dry! I still remember it's registration (license plate) number...LTP 281R. Happy days!

1974 Plymouth Duster 360 though it had a 318 (not sure why).  Bought it as Texas car (lived in central NY near Syracuse and cars rusted that were native to Central NY). Bought it when I was 16 before I had a driver's license.  Kept it for seven years.

Living in a rural town we used to race on the roads for run.  Fortunately the car only went about 115-118 which keep us/me from crashing.  We had a bunch of dirt roads so we were "drifting" before it was called drifting. Used to call it fishtailing.

1969 Charger 318 column shift F8 black interior and vinyl top. I bought it when I was 15 in 1979 for a whopping $150 in paper route money. It took a timing chain to get it running. Five years later it had new paint, a total of $500 invested and a guy offered me $1000 for it. I thought I'd won the lottery and let it go. I was onto bigger things by then: Orange 69 Roadrunner built 440 + 4 speed so the 318 car was nothing special...

1969 Dodge D100 Sweptline. Started as a 318 about a year in swapped to a salvage yard 383 4 brl. Put headers duels and glass packs on it. I thought I was the man. Never mind it was kind of beat up and primer gray. It was quick for a old farm truck looking thing. Spray can primer and brushed white wheels I was cool. Wonder why I never did good with the popular girls?
