It is a sad day as I just found out my friend Richard Sias - the father of the design for the 1968 Dodge Charger has passed.  He and I became close friends in the late 1990's when he was moving from Seattle to Montana for retirement.  Here is a link to the article in Hemmings Daily about him and his passing. https://www.hemmings.com/blog/2019/05/08/richard-siass-1968-dodge-charger-design-both-defined-and-ended-his-career-at-chrysler.  On my web site superbirdbob.com he appears under the topics Topless Charger and Friends in Print.  I had many many great conversations with him over the years and will miss him very much.  RIP Richard.

I posted a thread titled "Father of the second generation Charger passed " about a week ago about Richard, but it didn't get much of a response on here.  If you do read the Hemmings article on Richard Sias, be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the page to the comments section.  There were some very interesting comments from people who actually knew and worked with Richard.

He was a very interesting person.  I got to hear many of the stories about his time at Chrysler first hand.  I am glad he received a membership into the MOPAR HALL of FAME while he was still with us.  I was lucky enough to receive a copy of it.  Well guess that's all for now.
