How does the driver side kick panel go in.

I'm was working on some dash wiring and I can see that things are pretty tight behind the parking brake assembly.  I need to route some wiring and at the end I need to put in the kick panel.  Do I take the parking brake assembly out to do that?  I can't find my panel yet (lost in my garage   ) but when I do find it I'll probably need help figuring it out.

Oh, and anyone got a picture of the wire routing in this area?

Have you got the black plastic trough that holds the wire? It like snaps together.

Best I've got. Extra 2 brown wires were for my old 4W per channel 8 track player!!

I think this is what you're talking about.  This is where I'm at now.  Just wondering how much I have to smash things down to get the kick panel on?

Yah, stare at my picture and you can see the plastic square/rectangular tube snapped up in place. Kick panel clears it all..

I think this is what you're talking about.  This is where I'm at now.  Just wondering how much I have to smash things down to get the kick panel on?

I can see the body frame indent where that square tube should be snapped in.

Got it.   Went in just as you guys said.  When I was slipping it in I could see that there is a provision to hold it in place with screws.  At this point it would mean taking the parking brake assembly down so that will get done later.  Thanks for the tips.  As I looked at the picture I can see that I did not paint the back side of my hinges!!    Almost nobody will ever see this but I'm starting to make a list of stuff to do after the car is street ready.

71/74 B bodies didn't got that but just a couple of welded looms. Maybe neither E bodies since that area is proetty much similar on both, but I can't tell that for you
