Hey,

Today I went out for a 20 minute cruise to test my new dash instrument.

Can someone please have a look to the enclosed picture and tell me if the shown "values" are correct and OK?

Picture was taken after 15 minutes.

Oil pressure -> Is the shown scale on my oil pressure gauge still OK or is the oil pressure too low?
Temp -> This is the temp when engine is hot. Also want to mention that today when I drove around the outside temp was around 77°F.

For me it looks good but I would like to hear/read the opinions from this forum.

Especially concerning the oil pressure as I really do not know If this is acceptable when engine is hot or if I urgently need to take care of it instead of driving around.

Thanks

I think they are about right... althought would be better a bit more of oil pressure.
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

Oil pressure is a bit low but temp quite normal.
Couldn't hurt to try another sender 3488609 or at Napa https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/MPEOP6603SB?interchange=1
Oil pressure isn't too concerning but if it gets lower I'd have it checked.

The oil pressure switch is brandnew...

Will directly connect a testgauge to the oil pressure switch... will post then again pictures when engine cold and hot.

Thanks so far!

The factory gauges are not always accurate and one set could read different from another, that said, where your gauges are sitting mine read around 25psi for oil (too low at speed really) and 180 for the temp. Only way to be sure is remove the senders and plumb up some mechanical gauges to make a comparison.

On mine the oil pressure needle was barley moving, just half of your reading, put in new sender but no difference. Hooked up a external oil pressure gauge and pressure was 40-60psi... I think those old gauges need some service. But without measuring oil pressure you never know...low pressure or low reading.
I guess someone can tell the pressure by reading the resistance directly on the sender...
