As usual, Only The Green Survive.

Cool car. A pile of assembly documentation pics would be nice to archive somewhere if someone on the board got a hold of it.

The current second generation Charger feeding frenzy is making amazing barn find Chargers come out of the wood work!  Not all of them are green. There is a burnt orange 68 Charger barn find on ebay right now, and it is bidding up to really strong numbers!  The  market is so strong for second generation Chargers, that I am seriously considering selling my 70 V code Charger R /T. Especially after seeing that DY 3 70 Charger R /T U code  car that sold for 30 grand recently.  I  know that we discussed the car on here ,and it was on that television show where they tell you what your car is worth.

I wonder if it's mainly the older generation such as baby boomers bidding up these ridiculous numbers or younger people influenced by seeing these cars in movies like Fast & Furious.

Mine is original and never "dis" or re-assembled ?

Is there anywhere/archive I could contribute "assembly documentation pics" for reference   ?

Other than someone wondering how the Vinyl Roof "cut" was done originally around the rear window corner moulding,(which I took pictures and forwarded), I never really gave it much thought.
Probably a few could benefit during restoration efforts ?
or then again,
in this day/age of restomod maybe nobody cares how the factory did it ?
Only wimps wear Bowties !

triple_green

triple_green and very similar to the condition of mine when I got it 20 years ago. It is even the spring green 66-1 code. It is a column auto and A/C, where mine is console and no A/C and has the unsilenced air cleaner. Mine was complete under the hood and hadn't run in the 5 years before I got it.

Great start for someone.
68 Charger 383 HP grandma car (the orignal 3X)

This car is really close to me. What do y'all see it bringing?

Birdflu

I'm guessing it will get to $30K...I guy had one almost identical to that around here that sold for $32K a couple months ago  :popcrn:

kevink

My concern is what it will take to get he car running again. It could have been parked due to a rod through the block. Thoughts on what it would take to get her running again?

paironines

Column shift triple green rusty trunk already at 27k. My how times have changed. I have truely underestimated the worth of my triple green 68.

Amazing.

The market is strong, even for cars like that.

kevink

They are only original once right? Would y'all just keep it this way or start a restoration?

I always thought that the registries would be a great place to store this stuff. The 69 registry when it was up had a section with pics for some basic stuff that I always found useful. A photo dumping ground for anyone/everyone wouldn't have the controls in place to filter truth from fiction so to speak.

In the short term you could take as many as you like and put them up on a free service like Google Photos and link to them from the site. Organized by year and individual car. Not sure how else to deal with it in the short term. There will always be problems with any solution though.
