Here is one of the "few" things I like about the Moparts boards. The have a red number in parentheses next to the number of replies to a topic. This number tells you how many new replies have been made to the topic since you last logged on to the site.

That particular feature is built in to the software they use. Unfortunately, we use a different one. I'll look to see if it can be "modded" but that's a low priority right now. It can already tell you that there are replies since the last time you looked - just not how many.
