Great man....I met him a couple of times when I was very young (perhaps 10 or 11) when British Grand Prix's where held at Brands Hatch (who need run off areas and safety!!). We used to hang around the pits quite a lot as my father was friends with James Hunt....another great that died too young. If you have not seen the racing Film "Rush" about their title race then do. Great film whether you like F1 or not. I used to be a big fan of F1....not anymore when the overtaking is minimal as the cars are too fast and have too much grip and a handful of drivers and cars win it all.....BORING!!. Grand Prix or World Superbike racing is far more exiting...the lead can change several times a lap there!

Yes, Godspeed, Niki. Quite a life he had. I insisted my family watch RUSH one night, to their dismay.  But by the end, they were fans of the movie, and of Niki.  :cheers:
