1969 dodge charger 383 base.  purchased a year one dash harness and have it almost figured out.  I have a question concerning the area of the wiper switch.  I have a few extra brown wires.   and an extra terminal end on the bottom of the wiper switch.  I have one brown wire going to the washer button form the harness.  I have an independent brown wire from the washer button  to the wiper switch.  NOW....there are two  brown wired female terminals on the harness which are taped together and a brown single female terminal  really close to that with a white tracer.  Those are the three I cant figure out.  The second pic shows the harness.  the upper brown wire I have going to the washer button.  the other three are????   Also in the first pic, I show the independent brown and the mechanical pencil is pointing to the extra terminal on the wiper switch.

Pretty sure the harness has that jumper built in, why you have an extra wire.

The one brown can only go on a certain spade, as it has the cut out to fit same.

I didn't even think about the jumper being installed into the harness.  Im guessing that it is the one that is taped.  time to get the meter out.

My OE had the jumper folded back into the harness, no loose wires.

im thinking that's the wires that have the black tape around them

soooo...any ideas on the brown wire with the white tracer?  Im guessing it goes on the lower terminal post on the wiper switch.    Heres my print.  it just odd how it sows the tracer wire linking back to 5 wire plug.   maybe this was an option for a 3 speed wiper switch.

Yah, the brown/white trace is the double wire connector that is used on both 2 and 3 speed and that wire is just folded back into the harness and back out and goes on the lower tab of a 3 speed switch. Otherwise it's not used.

The brown with the detent/cut out on the connector goes on the switch terminal with the "tit" on it to fit and one of those taped together brown wires is coming from that "cut out" connector wire and also folded back in the harness. It goes to the wiper switch as does the one it's taped together with.

Just ohm meter the cut out wire to the taped together browns to confirm. Same deal on the white trace.

That is a 3 speed wiper switch you have there... you do have a 3 speed wiper motor, correct?

after market two speed is in there currently.  I believe the original was a three speed.  still have it...needs to be rebuilt

You must use a 2 speed switch for a 2 speed and a 3 speed for a 3 speed.

I know a 2 speed switch won't run a 3 speed, not definite a 3 speed switch won't run a two speed but I doubt it.

That white trace jumper definitely left off for a 2 speed motor and it might work.
