Yes, that's it - at least the site is back up with contact info for people to register their cars. Hopefully when Ghoste gets back in the groove, he will get some data posted.

Ghoste has got a basic site back up so that 69 owners can register. Hopefully when he gets back into the groove, there will be some statistics/data posted.

You can try. I think many on here have tried without success. Some may have even offered money
Pride, and the thought of admitting failure is keeping the info from everyone else.
Best thing I think, is that someone starts another one and just forgets the info he had and start over. I'm not computer savvy, so I'm not sure how possible that is.

I'm sure that this has probably been covered on this subject a long-long time ago, so could someone point me towards the story of what happened to Wayne Whooten and all the Charger Registry work he did? I think I had signed up back in 1998 and sent him the info on my 2 Chargers plus a friend's '69 and another friend's '67.

I don't know if all his data was ever passed on. I've never seen any of the 70 Charger info he had. Seemed to be a good effort back then with regional Charger meets. Too bad.

Don, how hard is it to take the 70 site and use it as a template for a 69 site.

I went to Wayne's meets in the mid-late 90s, and then, sometime after the internet took over the world, TDC went dark. Gone.   :shruggy:

It's a shame there isn't something more of a resource. Having run another registry for the past 15 years, it's a labor of love, I know. But c'mon, doesn't someone care enough to not try  and profit, or gain from info?  :popcrn:

Actually, a lot of people. Many have said so in this thread. It's getting the info from another to start that process

I wouldn't declare it dead yet, considering that Ghoste still visits on a regular basis.  Considering the fact that we don't know the circumstances that's going on with him at the moment, it's best just to sit tight and let him figure it out until Chargers can be a priority for him again.

Just want to pop in here and mention that although I haven't been around here as much lately (family medical), I'm still more than willing to help out in whatever capacity that I can. I own a web hosting company (donate server resources?) and do my fair share of website and database development/administration work. Like a lot of people here, I just want to see this back in operation.

There is a Site up to register YOUR 1969 Dodge Charger's information, YOUR Charger's VIN is a must, and YOUR Charger's Fender Tag information if you have it ?
see here:
https://1969dodgechargerregistry.wordpress.com/

But curiously to me anyways ?
and FAR different from any of the other 1968 or 1970 Charger Registry's ?
Is that there is absolutely NO INFORMATION coming back OUT of the 1969 Dodge Charger Registry ?.... nor any access to numbers/resources that were in the already VAST database, or for anyone else submitting THEIR Charger information continuing to GROW that database ?

Just say'in....
seems to me anyways, like the 1969 Charger Registry has become a "personalized" resource wealth of information, NOT to be shared, even with those still submitting/growing the that database ?

Which begs the question....
If as the Site suggests.....
"To register your Charger, simply go to the contact area to submit your car.  At the very least, the VIN is required.  Ideally if it is possible to supply the codes from the fender tag, submitting those as well is where we gain the greatest insight into the way these incredible vehicles were assembled."

Who the heck is "WE" gaining all the insight ? if no-one else can look at any of the vast resources/database already in the Registry ?
just say'in...
doesn't seem much point submitting YOUR Charger's VIN & Fender Tag information, as a "resource" for other enthusiasts, and to grow the already VAST database that has dis-appeared, when that act of selflessness and sharing helps nobody else ?
