Dana 60 Chrome Cover Leaking

My Dana 60 Chrome cover is leaking a tad from the fill plug. Is it a good idea to use Teflon Tape on it or not? It is not over filled.


440-6pk, 4-speed, Dana 60 with 3:54  
13.01 @107.93 (street tires spinning all the way down)

I used tape on my chrome one. No issues.
