It's a 440 with aluminum heads,  tti headers, lunati 268/276 cam, and I'm running FiTech efi that will control the timing through a billet mechanical Firecore distributor.     Very happy with the FiTech so far!   :2thumbs:

I've been doing a lot of research lately on the fitech system, as I'd like to go efi as well (I can't for the life of me get my Holley carb to run right).

Question on the distributor, is it easy to lock-out (disable the advanve) so the fitech can run the timing?  If so, can,you give a quick step by step on how that's done?

Mixed emotions whenever I see one of those "first start" videos. Happy for the owner and the fact another Charger is breathing again....sometimes after decades....yet a little depressed that mine is taking slightly longer than forever! It's nothing that a couple more years of saving and a couple of hundred hours of labour won't put right though! Just piling the cash for an interior and custom exhaust at the moment.......is the Euromillions tonight so who knows lol!
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you !!

Yes, the Firecore distributor was very easy to lock-out.   Here is a quote from Ron (firefighter3931)  " There are 2 adjustable stops on the advance mechanism. To lock out the mechanical advance all you have to do is loosen both screws and close the window down....then retighten the screws.

You can access both screws without disassembling the distributor. There is a small window in the top plate that allows you to access those screws one at a time. Once the first screw is loosened off....just rotate the shaft until you see the other one and loosen it off. Close the gap to zero and retighten.  2thumbs "

I used the Mechanical billet 2 wire distributor from Firecore.    :2thumbs:
