I'm putting my fenders back on my 74 (SE) and i know there was cauking under them. where else do you guys suggest i caulk before i paint and put fenders on ?

Gold Rush

OEM had all external body panel seams calked.  If any of the original is still in place I'd scrape it off and start new.  My '74 had most of it's still there but it was dried and cracked so it wasn't holding much moisture out.   :o  :o

The caulking is there for 2 reasons from what I can tell, one to seal, but also to help set the fender height, so I suggest calking after painting. That is what I intend to do.

I did scape all gthe old stuff off. My plan was to spray with air clean it all up good and reseal all the cracks before i paint just wasn't sure about under the top of fenders it's been so long since it was blasted i don't remember when the caulking was to be put down and how thick..
