I need to have my power steering unit rebuilt ( 70 Charger). Does anyone have  recommendations on who to use?  I'm in Phoenix AZ.

I used Steer and Gear.  Alot cheaper than FF and I was pleased.

For some, it is a matter of location and the cost of shipping. I have never heard of someone that preferred Steer and Gear over Firm Feel unless they were in the Midwest or on the East coast. Shipping these things isn't cheap.
Firm Feel makes many of the parts they use to rebuild the steering units. They make all sorts of steering and suspension parts in house. I'm talking Pitman arms, idler arms, Fast Ratio Pitman and Idler arms, torsion bars, sway bars, etc.
I chose a Stage 3 Firm Feel rebuild. Most that I have heard from that have the Stage 2 wished that they went with the 3. The higher the number, the heavier the feel of the steering. I also went with Fast Ratio Pitman and Idler arms. This makes the steering even more heavy, sort of like power assisted steering, not the overboosted wet tires on ice feeling that stock setups usually have. It also reduces the lock to lock turning of the wheel from about 3 3/4 turns to around 2 3/4 turns.

Aren't local part dealers such as Napa and more able to sell you one already rebuilt giving your core?, cheaper and no shipping!

Just an idea if you are thinking on a stock rebuild.

I think you can! I don't live in USA and we don't have that posibility down here, but I think you do

Those cheap "rebuilders" are nothing more than a regasket job. NO hard parts are changed. What makes Firm Feel better is that they replace worn parts with improved aftermarket parts.

Yup. Years ago I bought a reman steering gear for my car, to get it past an inspection. This box, with a few hundred miles, has as much slop as the old one.......
