How low to set my idel RPM

Hello,

How low I can set my  RPM idlel  . 1974 big block 440 . Stock engine only changes are water pump, long headers , exhaust and intake manifold .

well I guess in theory you can set it as low as the engine will allow itself to run. I would probably shoot for 700 rpm there isn't any advantage to setting it lower .

I know on my 73 400 I need to keep it a little higher on my Idle RPM. When I come into a corner off throttle, turning and braking it will stall my motor.
