I'm gonna unearth it, try and make it run under its own power for car shows and such. The dirt has actually not done any real damage to the metal surprisingly. Would be funny to see at a show or even cruising down the road lol

VegasCharger

If you do, document the shit out of the unearthing. Take pics and make videos. If and when you were to get it road worthy the story leading up to it would be totally amazing. Take it to MATS, SF and present a video (maybe on a continuous loop) on a laptop or something with a bigger screen than a smart phone. This way people won't think that you're pitching them BS (not that you care) but it would be interesting.

Which 68 are you bringing back to Vegas with your trailer? The blue one? The 4 speed ravine one? Neither?

cbrestorations

m going to bring the blue 68 back first, im already home now. i brought a 70 gtx back to do a bunch of metal too then take it back to north dakota

Homerr

Chris - I really respect your love for these old wrecks.  When you said this ravine one was fucked, I was thinking "Well, if Chris says it is - then it really is!".

Dig it up. Dig it up. Dig it up.    Since the engine is still in the thing it definitely would be cool to see rolling under it's own power some day. I would love to take a porta power and just start rectifying all the major damage that way just to see how good I could get it by pushing everything out. Kinda like this old beat up quarter panel only on a bigger scale.

Man that would be so cool if you dug that thing out of its grave and made it run again.  If it's beyond repair, I'd love to buy something like that as a piece of yard art.

TommyGun

Would be cool for sure. Do you know who owns the land? I mean can you just roll up and take it?

Believe it or not I know wherr there is a 1969 440 RT SE burried under 12 feet with a few Challengers. Still down there too.
Lets dig it up hahah awesome!!! lol
Im trying to convince him to let me do it. Id even donate a junk car to take its place. It would look good in my friends shop/museum next to his Nash station wagon that fell through the ice in the 60s and just got pulled out of the lake.

Thats a awesome idea.. That car must be as is indeed much beter then trying to restore it.
