Now that my car is driving and will soon be ready for cruising, I am assembling a travel tool bag to put in the trunk in case of any road side repairs that sometimes come with cars like these.  I have AAA but still wouldn't want some dumbass (other than the dumbass writing this  ;D) monkeying with my car.

I have all the hand tools covered but need a jack in case of a flat.  My original bumper jack will likely not go back in the car so I will need something else.   Anyone else carrying an aftermarket jack in their trunk? if so what are you using?  would a scissor jack set up from a new car lift these beasts? It would only have to be for a tire change, I wouldn't dare crawl under it like that.

I've tried a scissor jack out of a car once, and it folded up before a tire even left the ground.  There are a lot of heavy cars these days, so they're probably stronger now.

I bought a little 2 ton craftsman bottle jack for mine. Nice and small so it fits nicely in the tool kit I have in the trunk.

Thanks for the feedback, didn't even consider a bottle jack, I will check them out, thanks!

It is sure strange, I probably used my stock jack over 30 times, that includes at the track. I can't see myself using it again. I know several guys who carry
the bottle jack, and several with the small floor jacks that come in a nice case.

Is a bottle jack small enough to fit under the framerails, and have enough extension to lift the tire off the ground?

Small floor jack in a plastic case. Very convenient.
